Letters 信

Letters

By Bing Hua (Rose Lu)

Every morning at 9,
The mail arrival time,
My heart full of expectation would stand still

What I look forward to is not a love letter, nor a letter from home
But one from a friend who lives by Yangtze river

Coming out of the envelopes
Are white sails
And flying seagulls
The white sails cut open the sea surface
While the seagulls struggle with the gale.

The sound of the sails
And the squawks of seagulls
Are the resonance of our hearts
The sails moving toward the horizon
The seagulls flying up the sky
Both Carry my ocean of love
